HOW TO DECIDE ON A COLOUR PALETTE FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

Choosing a colour palette may seem like a huge task and you may not know where to start but don't panic. Try answering the below questions, for a clearer indication of what you like and let's go from there :)

  • Do you have a favourite colour(s)?
  • Which season are you getting married in?
    • Warm colours like browns and reds are best for winter weddings, to create a cosy ambience
  • If you have already selected a venue, what type of ambience does it create? Is it old and traditional or modern and funky?
  • Do you have a particular theme or era in mind for your wedding day?
    • Perhaps you would like to wear a vintage dress or set a theme like a garden party?
  • Do you have a favourite flower you are planning on using in your wedding bouquet? Which colours does the flower come in?

Answering these questions should help setting some foundations for your colour palette but please feel free to contact us and we can help you with this task and much more.

TOP TIPS FOR GETTING THE FLORAL DECORATION YOU WANT WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK!

Hi all!

I have been looking at different ways, how our wedding couples are able to save money on their Floral Decorations.

We all agree, Flowers are a very important part of your wedding day and at first they seem to be an unnecessary luxury, however we shouldn't underestimate the ambience that flowers can bring to this occasion.

See below some of our TOP TIPS for getting the floral decoration you want, without spending a fortune:

Try to avoid holding your wedding around any nationally celebrated events such as Christmas, Easter or Valentine's Day, as these are the seasons when florists will be extra busy and the costs of flowers will be higher than in any other time of the year!

Reduce the amount of fresh flower bouquets.
You could have one bouquet for yourself (the bride) and then let the bridesmaids hold a single flower instead of a bouquet.

You could also use wrist corsages (my favourite), that are a cheaper alternative to bridesmaid's bouquets and will add a very simple yet sophisticated look to your wedding day! Why not crafting these with your Bridesmaids? Think bubbles and laughter before the wedding day - a great way to unwind and forget about the nerves! :)

Hope you have a great day!
